Araucaria heterophylla (Norfolk Island pine) D10cm
Araucaria heterophylla, also known as Norfolk Island pine, is a conifer species endemic to Norfolk Island, an external territory of Australia located in the Pacific Ocean, between New Zealand and New Caledonia.
It is cultivated all over the world as an ornamental plant, due to its attractive, vertical leaves. Araucaria heterophyll is a large, slow-growing tree that can reach a height of 50-65 meters. It has a straight, vertical trunk and symmetrical branches, which extend almost horizontally or slightly obliquely.
Araucaria heterophylla is a resistant plant that can tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions. However, to develop optimally, it needs:

- Humidity: Prefers high humidity.
- Irrigation: Water regularly, but not excessively.
- Minimum temperature : 5-7 degrees Celsius
- Pruning: Does not require maintenance cuts.
In summer, it can be placed outside, on the terrace or in the garden, but in a shady place, protected from the strong rays of the sun.
