Full description and specifications

Adenium obesum, also known as the desert rose, is a succulent plant native to the arid areas of Africa and the Middle East. Here are some basic tips for caring for an Adenium obesum plant:

  1. Location: Place the plant in a place where it receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours a day. Make sure it has a bit of shade during the hottest hours of the day.
  2. Watering: Adenium obesum is a succulent plant and can store water in the stem and roots. Excessive watering can lead to root rot, so make sure the soil dries completely between waterings. In general, it is better to water less than too much.
  3. Soil: Use a well-drained succulent mix that allows water to drain quickly.
  4. Fertilizers: Apply diluted fertilizer once a month during the period of active growth, which is usually spring and summer. Stop applying fertilizers during periods of rest.
  5. Cutting: If the plant gets too big or has dry or damaged branches, you can carefully cut these parts. Make sure you use clean, sharp tools and treat the cuts with a fungicide to prevent infection.
  6. Rest period: Adenium obesum enters a rest period during the dry season. During this period, reduce watering and stop applying fertilizers. The plant will lose its leaves temporarily, but will come back to life with the arrival of the warm season.
