Full description and specifications
Lobivia shaferi, also known as Echinopsis shaferi, is a small and charming cactus, appreciated for its spectacular flowers. This plant has a globular or cylindrical shape, reaching modest sizes, usually not much larger than 15 cm in height and diameter. The body of the cactus is dark green, segmented into prominent ribs.

One of the most remarkable characteristics of Lobivia shaferi is its large and colorful flowers. The flowers, which appear in spring or summer, are usually red, pink or sometimes yellow, with a tubular appearance and vibrant petals. They are large in relation to the size of the plant, often exceeding it in length.

The spines of this species are relatively short and appear from small areoles located along the ribs. The spikes can be of various colors, from white to gray or brown.

Lobivia shaferi prefers conditions of direct light and well-drained soil, being a resistant species and easy to care for. It is a popular choice for cactus collectors and succulent plant lovers due to its beautiful flowers and compact, easy-to-manage form.
