Hoya sp. Loei (SR 2007-13) D12

Hoya sp. Loei (SR 2007-13) D12 is the larger commercial offering of a collector's Hoya maintained under a provisional name. The illustrated specimen forms an airy cluster of long, narrow, firm leaves, irregularly marked with silver splash and crossed by visible longitudinal veins. The young stems indicate its future vining habit, while the D12 suffix distinguishes the commercial presentation without changing the horticultural identity of SR 2007-13.

Name and provenance. The abbreviation "sp." indicates that the botanical identity has not been established at species level. "Loei" indicates the provenance under which this collection circulates in horticulture, while SR 2007-13 is the number that preserves its traceability. Neither should be treated as a botanical name or synonym.

Foliage characteristics. The leaves are elongated to lanceolate, thick and green, with pointed tips, visible veins and silver splash markings. The intensity and distribution of the markings may naturally vary between specimens and between leaves of the same plant. The foliage remains the main decorative feature even outside the flowering period.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are fragrant. Flowering specimens documented in cultivation produce umbels with creamy-white, waxy flowers, white coronas and centers in warm shades of pink and orange. Flowering may require patience and depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.
