Full description and specifications

Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae (variegata) - endemic species from the Philippines. The plant is relatively compact, with hanging vines. The flowers are pomegranate-red, and have a strong honey scent.
The leaves become reddish or even grainy when the plant is grown in strong light or direct sun.
There are numerous controversies regarding the real identity of the plants in the Acanthostemma section - this plant has been marketed over time as Hoya sp. DS-70, Hoya burtoniae, Hoya bilobata (incorrect), Hoya tsangii (incorrect). From our analyzes and generally available knowledge, this is a Hoya species affiliated with burtoniae (unnamed species, associated with burtoniae due to multiple similarities) - unlike Hoya burtoniae, the leaves are much larger, thicker and sharper, with a venation much more prominent.
Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae is part of the section Acanthostemma.

Fragrant flowers: YES

Note: The length of the liana and the level of variegation varies from one specimen to another. The decorative bowl is not included in the price.
