Homalomena rubescens, originally from SE Asia, comes from the same family as Philodendron. This plant is attractive with its red stems and heart-shaped leaves.
Popular names: Queen of Hearts, Red Shield Plant, Shield Plant
Location: in a partially shaded area, protected from direct sunlight.
Watering: keeping the substrate slightly moist. During the growth period that lasts from March to August, a little more water than in winter.
Temperature: 16 - 25 degrees Celsius
Substrate: well drained
Note: May have leaves with mechanical defects/scars.
