A systemic fungicide with fosetyl and propamocarb as active substances, intended for combating diseases caused by fungi from the Oomycetes class occurring in soil and on plant leaves. It is generally used in farming against diseases caused by Pseudoperonospora, Pythium, and Phytophthora. It has a complex mode of action due to the two active components. Fosetyl has complete systemic absorption and both upward and downward distribution within plants. It stimulates the plant's immune system, inhibits spore germination, and the growth of the fungal mycelium. Propamocarb also has systemic action in plants and, depending on the treatment method—whether in soil or on foliage—can be taken up by plants through roots or leaves. In the case of foliar treatments, propamocarb is absorbed by plants in less than an hour after application. It acts on fungi in a multi-site manner.
For tropical gardening, it is successfully used to prevent and combat black rot of orchids, caused by species of the genera Pythium and Phytophthora.
The application dose is 3 ml per 2 liters of water, or 10 ml per 7 liters of water, administered by spraying.
For enhanced effectiveness, it can be applied together with a contact fungicide.
