Thrixspermum hystrix (miniatura)

Thrixspermum hystrix is ​​an epiphytic orchid in the family Orchidaceae, native to Southeast Asia, including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Thailand, Laos, Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and the Philippines. It grows in humid tropical forests at low to medium altitudes. It has short or elongated stems, flat, fleshy leaves arranged in two rows, and pendulous or arching inflorescences.

The fragrant flowers are small (about 1 cm), yellow or cream, sometimes white, with a delicate, arachnid-like appearance, and appear throughout the year, with greater frequency in spring. The plant prefers medium light, high humidity and a well-drained substrate, being suitable for mounting on supports or hanging pots.
