Philodendron maximum - frunze uriase!

Philodendron maximum - large botanical species, endemic to Bolivia, Ecuador and Brazil, which stands out for its huge, green leaves, textured with a suede appearance, with prominent veins. As the name suggests, it is a plant with very large leaves.

Adult specimens reach a height of 3 - 3.5 m. An adult leaf reaches a length of 165 cm and a width of 100 cm, in the natural environment. These dimensions are of course tempered in indoor conditions, but it remains a plant with large leaves.

Growth style: Climbing plant. It rests on the trunks of nearby trees and tends to develop strong aerial roots.

The juvenile form generally has more glossy and lighter colored leaves.
