Full description and specifications

Maxillaria weberbaueri (syn. Maxillaria aurorae) - rare botanical species, which can be found in Colombia and Peru on rocky slopes, in mountain forests at altitudes of approximately 320 to 1000 meters as a medium-sized epiphyte, or occasionally as terrestrial. It has agglomerated, smooth, ovoid-pyriform pseudobulbs, compressed, partially covered by several distichous bracts, nested, scarious, bearing a single leaf (or rarely 2), of dark green color, which narrows at the base into a long petiole. It blooms more frequently in winter and spring, having an erect, basal inflorescence, 10 to 12.5 cm long, with a single flower, which appears on a mature pseudobulb and is covered at the base by 3 tubular, acuminate bracts. The flowers are fragrant.
