Hoya endauensis - a species discovered in 1985 and published by Malaysian botanist Dr. Ruth Kiew in 1989 on the banks of the Ulu Endau river in Malaysia, whose name it bears.
Hoya endauensis is still considered a rare species, endangered in its country of origin.
Hoya endauensis is very similar to Hoya kanyakumariana, which is why the two are often confused.
