Hoya bella, commonly known as Waxflower, is an epiphytic species with small, glossy, deep-green foliage on thin, trailing stems. It is native from Assam to Myanmar. This batch is trained on a hoop, with an approximate height of 40 cm including the pot. It is the green form, not a variegated selection. The star-shaped flowers are white with a cyclamen-pink center and have a sweet fragrance that is easier to detect in the evening. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage and growth habit. The stems are flexible and trailing, rather than vigorous climbing vines requiring support. The leaves are small, fleshy, oval or elongated, and deep green. The approximate height of 40 cm describes the batch supplied trained on a hoop, not the species’ maximum length. The vines may have mechanical damage or scars.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are star-shaped and white, sometimes with a pink tinge, with a cyclamen-pink corona. They appear in pendant umbels. The fragrance is sweet and is described as more intense in the evening. Due to temperature variations, the flowers may be lost during transport. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
