Hoya bella - Our Lady's Tear - large specimens!

Hoya bella, commonly known as Waxflower, is an epiphytic species with small, glossy, deep green foliage on thin, trailing stems. The lot includes large, well-established specimens suitable for hanging baskets. The species is native from Assam to Myanmar. Its delicate growth habit makes it a classic hanging-basket plant rather than a vigorous support-climbing vine. The star-shaped flowers are white with a pink-magenta centre and have a sweet fragrance that is easier to notice in the evening.

Foliage and growth habit. The stems are flexible and trailing. The leaves are small, fleshy, oval or elongated, and deep green. Vine length varies; on established specimens, the stems may reach approximately 1–1.5 m. Long vines may have mechanical damage or scars.

Flowers and fragrance. The star-shaped flowers are white, sometimes with a pink tinge, and have a pink-magenta corona. They appear in pendulous umbels. The fragrance is sweet and is described as more intense in the evening. Due to temperature fluctuations, flowers may be lost during transport. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.
