Hoya australis 'Kapoho' was discovered in Hawaii, in the town of Kapoho. It is easily distinguished from other australis varieties by its very large, light-colored leaves and larger, more spread-out flowers with more red in the center and a vanilla scent.
The flowers of Hoya australis last about a week and have the most incredible, strongly spicy fragrance.
Characteristics: Hoya Australis grows and blooms easily. After the flower stalks appear, the location should not be changed, as the buds may fall off. It is recommended for beginners because it roots easily in well-drained soil. All varieties of the H. australis group are very decorative, undemanding in care, and bloom well from August to November.
Common names: Our Lady’s Tear, Wax Flower.
Leaf size: length 7-11 cm and width 3-5 cm
Flower diameter: approx. 2 cm
Corona: white with red center, 20-40 per umbel
Flower duration: about 7 days
Placement: bright area (preferably without direct sun), but also grows well in shade
Watering: moderate, avoid water stagnation in the pot. In summer, on hot days, spray the plant as often as possible.
Fragrant flowers: YES

Attention - buds/flower stalks/flowers may be damaged or lost during transport, but usually the stalks produce new generations of buds. When purchasing specimens with stalks/buds/flowers, you assume this risk.
