Gymnocalycium mesopotamicum

Gymnocalycium mesopotamicum is a small globular cactus species, native to northern Argentina (Cordoba province), known for its compact, symmetrical shape and striking flowers, usually pale pink or whitish with a yellow center. It is a rare and valued plant in cactus collections due to its distinct appearance and relatively easy flowering under cultivation conditions.

• Temperature: prefers 20–28°C in summer; requires rest at 5–10°C in winter to encourage flowering

• Frost resistance: does not tolerate frost – keep indoors during winter
