Gymnocalycium damsii (anisitsii) is a globular cactus species native to the arid regions of Argentina and Bolivia. It is valued for its compact and perfectly symmetrical shape, with short, fine spines in shades from off-white to light brown – a pleasant contrast with the intense green of the body.

In spring and summer, this cactus can produce delicate flowers in shades of pale pink or pink-lilac, which open at the top of the plant, adding an elegant and subtle accent.
