Dioscorea bulbifera - fascinating species, endemic to South Africa.

The plant with caudex that has two means of storing nutrients - the caudex, but also the "air potatoes" that develop at the base of the leaves. Although they show rapid vegetative growth, aerial bulbs develop relatively slowly over time. It does not require special care, being considered a species with great adaptability.

Dioscorea bulbifera is considered a plant of interest from a culinary and medicinal point of view, being used for a series of preparations and medicines.
