Cryptanthus ‘Red Star’, also known as the "earth star", is a small-sized bromeliad, extremely decorative, appreciated for its intensely colored foliage in shades of red-burgundy, dark maroon and bronze reflections, arranged in a compact and symmetrical rosette. Although it is a bromeliad, it does not retain water in the center like others in the family and prefers a slightly moist and well-aerated substrate. It is ideal for collections, terrariums or small decorative pots.
