Rlc. Haw Yuan Beauty - fragrant flowers

Rlc. Haw Yuan Beauty (Rhyncholaeliocattleya Haw Yuan Beauty) is a hybrid of the Rhyncholaeliocattleya notogenus (Orchidaceae family), created in 1997 by Haw Yuan (Rlc. Haw Yuan Moon x C. Mari’s Song).

Brief botanical characteristics:

• Flowers: Approximately 7 cm in diameter. White sepals, deep purple petals with a central white stripe, and a dark purple lip with a bright yellow throat. Fragrant, with a pleasant scent. Good form, typical of Cattleya. Usually 2–4 flowers per stem.
• Growth habit: Robust pseudobulbs; a vigorous, medium-sized, epiphytic plant. Typical growth for Rlc. hybrids.
• Distinctive features: Strong influence from Cattleya briegeri (25%). A popular hybrid prized for its color contrast and fragrance. Popular clones include ‘Hong’ and ‘Yi Mei Angel’ (some award-winning).

A modern classic, with spectacular flowers and relatively easy cultivation.
