Care:

This plant prefers moderate to strong indirect light, but can also tolerate lower light, although growth may be slower. Direct sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the leaves. The soil should be kept lightly moist, avoiding overwatering, and the top layer of soil should dry slightly between waterings. Watering should be reduced during the cold months. Dieffenbachia needs well-drained soil rich in organic matter, and a general-purpose indoor plant soil mix is suitable.

The ideal temperature for this plant’s growth is between 18-27°C. It is sensitive to cold and drafts, so it is important to protect it from temperatures below 15°C. Regarding humidity, it prefers a moderate to high environment. Occasional misting of the leaves or using a humidifier can help maintain suitable conditions.

During the growing season, spring and summer, the plant can be fertilized once a month with a liquid fertilizer for green plants, and fertilizing can be stopped during the resting period. Repotting is necessary every one to two years or when roots grow out of the pot. It is important that the pot has drainage holes to prevent water stagnation.
