Chamaelobivia-Hybrid
€6,95
Chamaelobivia is a genus of fleshy plants from the Cactaceae family, mainly originating from the dry regions of South America. These plants are the result of crossbreeding between two cactus genera, Chamaecereus and Lobivia, which gives them unique traits.
During spring and summer, Chamaelobivia blooms with beautiful flowers, usually pink, orange, or red, which appear on the upper part of the stems. These flowers often have a trumpet or cup shape, and the blooming can last several weeks.
Placement: Place the plant in a bright spot where it receives direct sunlight. Chamaelobivia prefers strong light and can be grown both indoors near a sunny window and outdoors in warm climate areas.
Watering: During the active growth period, regular watering is necessary. However, make sure the soil dries out completely between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as the roots can be sensitive to excess moisture, leading to their rotting. In the winter season, when the plant is dormant, reduce watering to a minimum.
Soil: Use a well-drained mix for fleshy plants that allows excess water to drain away.
Fertilizing: During the growth period, fertilize Chamaelobivia once a month with a fertilizer specific for cacti and fleshy plants. Follow the instructions on the package for dosage and application.
Temperature: Chamaelobivia prefers warm temperatures and does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C.
