Scilla peruviana (portugalská šafránka)

Scilla peruviana is a bulbous plant that produces spectacular dark blue flower clusters with a star-like appearance, grouped in compact heads. Despite its name, it is not native to Peru but to the Mediterranean regions. It blooms in the spring and prefers sunny or partly shaded places with well-drained soil. It is valued for its strong visual impact in gardens and for its ability to add vibrant color during the intermediate periods of the growing season.
