Papilisia Preeyanan Sanpote

Papilisia Preeyanan Sanpote (Papilisia Preeyanan Sanpote) is an intergeneric hybrid in the nothogenus Papilisia (family Orchidaceae), created in 2024 by A. Kongbangkerd (Papilionanthe teres × Luisia primulina).

Botanical characteristics:

• Flowers: Intermediate size (strongly influenced by Papilionanthe teres, whose flowers reach 6–10 cm). Typical vandaceous shape. Soft, pleasant, buttery and floral fragrance. Color varies, usually in light tones with accents from both parents.
• Growth habit: A vigorous, epiphytic plant with terete growth (cylindrical leaves) and abundant aerial roots. It combines the robustness of Papilionanthe teres with the more compact form of Luisia.
• Special features: A recent hybrid, valued for its cylindrical foliage and flowering potential.
