Full description and specifications
Mandevilla Sundaville® Pink Flamingo is a spectacular variety of Mandevilla, known for its large, fragrant flowers that add an extra touch of elegance to any outdoor space. This plant is ideal for gardens, terraces and balconies, due to its lush appearance and ability to bloom profusely throughout the summer.
Care:
- Light: Mandevilla Sundaville® Pink Flamingo prefers sunny places, with direct sunlight for at least 6 hours a day. It can tolerate partial shade, but flowering will be more abundant in full sun.
- Soil: I prefer a well-drained soil, rich in organic matter. A mixture of garden soil with perlite or sand to improve drainage is ideal.
- Watering: Watering must be regular, keeping the soil evenly moist, but not saturated. During the summer, the plant may require daily watering, especially in very hot periods. In winter, watering should be reduced, allowing the soil to partially dry between waterings.
- Temperature: Mandevilla is a tropical plant and prefers temperatures between 20-30°C. It is sensitive to temperatures below 10°C, so in regions with cold winters, the plant must be brought indoors or protected.
- Fertilization: Fertilize the plant once every two weeks during the growth period (spring and summer) with a liquid fertilizer for flowering plants. Reduce fertilization during autumn and winter.
- Propagation: Mandevilla can be propagated by stem cuttings taken in spring or summer. Cut cuttings of approximately 10-15 cm, remove the lower leaves and plant them in well-drained soil. Keep the soil slightly moist until rooting.
- Common problems: Monitor the plant for pests such as aphids, mites and whiteflies. Excessive watering can lead to root rot, so make sure the soil is well drained.
