Citrus Rangpur Lime (Lime Leila - Citrina)

It is said that Rangpur Lime is a variety originating from India. In India, it is called Gandhraj, which loosely translates to "King of Aromas." The flowers have purple buds and a very intense fragrance.

Rangpur Lime is actually a cross between a mandarin and a lemon, resulting in an aromatic fruit similar to a lime – which is why it is generally marketed as a lime (a fact that causes a lot of confusion).
The Rangpur Lime fruits are not green – they turn orange when they reach maturity. The fruits are very juicy, edible (but sour), aromatic, and are used for cooking, decorating drinks, or as spices.
