Full description and specifications

Hoya nicholsoniae - species whose origin and identity has been long debated, without a clear final conclusion. For a while it was considered synonymous with Hoya pottsii, which in turn was included in the Verticillata complex, but this plant is different from Hoya potsii that we already have for several years and blooms almost permanently in our greenhouse, at least in terms of morphology of the leaves.
It must be said that many collectors, botanists and even taxonomists consider the inclusion of many hoya species in the "verticillata complex" as exaggerated and meaningless, because the differences between the plants are very large and it seems nonsense to all have the same name, even if they have certain common genetic elements.
It is said that there are several clones of H. pottsii in circulation and each has some differences in terms of foliage and flowers.
Hoya nicholsoniae shows spectacular flowers, in shades of intense yellow-straw yellow and cream, which last for about a week and are fragrant (lemon/citrus).
The plant is not pretentious at all and under normal growing conditions it can bloom throughout the warm season. Flowers are sensitive to large variations in temperature - growth in areas with air currents or frequent temperature changes should be avoided.
Overwatering will be avoided, and fertilization will be done periodically with a fertilizer for orchids in weak dilution.

Fragrant flowers: YES

The decorative bowl is not included in the price.

note: specimens with 3-5 leaves, which may also have defects.
