Catasetum gnomus 'Jumbo'

Catasetum gnomus - medium-sized epiphytic botanical species that grows in variable temperature conditions, from warm to cool, and is found in the state of Amazonas in Brazil and Peru, on low-altitude trees near watercourses, in mountain forests humid, at altitudes between 200 and 1200 meters.

It blooms from spring to autumn, on an arched or slightly erect inflorescence, up to 40 cm long, with 4 to 20 fragrant flowers, having wide, ovate floral bracts. The flowers appear on a recently matured pseudobulb and show three types of visible sexual structures: male, female and hermaphrodite.
