Calathea Stripestar

This plant is part of the Marantaceae family and is native to the tropical forests of South America, where it grows under the shade of large trees, benefiting from filtered light and high humidity.

• Light: Calathea prefers indirect, bright light. Direct sunlight can discolor the leaves and lead to burns.
• Humidity: The plant loves high humidity, so it is an excellent choice for bathrooms or kitchens, or in any place where humidity is higher. A humidifier or a tray of gravel and water can help maintain humidity if the air in the house is dry.
• Water: The soil should be kept moist, but not soaked. It is important to allow the topsoil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.
• Temperature: Calathea prefers temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius and must be protected from cold currents or temperatures below these limits.
