Thelocactus bicolor
Thelocactus bicolor is an ornamental cactus highly appreciated for its compact, well-structured appearance and spectacular flowering, which strongly contrasts with the plant’s body. The globular to slightly cylindrical stem, with well-defined ribs and decorative spines, gives the plant a graphic look that is very attractive even outside the flowering period. In the warm season, mature specimens can produce large, intensely colored flowers, usually in shades of pink, purplish-pink, or magenta. It is an excellent choice for cactus collectors, very bright windowsills, or xerophytic plant arrangements.
