Full description and specifications
Alocasia 'Calidora'.
Care instructions:
Location: bright area, protected from the sun's rays. It can tolerate a less lit area quite well.
Watering: water when the substrate is dry. It is recommended to administer small amounts of water.
The substrate: well drained. It can be a combination of peat with perlite.
Temperature: 15 - 28 degrees Celsius
Fertilization: during the growing season, apply a balanced fertilizer diluted 1/2.
Humidity: ideal >60%
Pruning: remove damaged or yellowed leaves.
Pot diameter 17 cm
Height with pots included approx. 65-70 cm
Alocasia is a plant very sensitive to transport (especially temperature changes). Therefore, it is possible to receive these plants with defects on the leaves, but these do not affect the viability of the plant. Under optimal care conditions, the new leaves will develop normally. Its leaves are very dark green, with shades of indigo blue, and have prominent light gray veins.
Alocasia care instructions
Placement: bright but shaded place, airy but protected from drafts
Moisture: water when the soil has dried on the surface
Substrate: neutral Dutch peat or a very loose mixture
Characteristics: the sun stains its leaves, so it must be hidden from its rays. For a good development, it is good to fertilize it every 1-2 weeks during the warm period of the year.
