Opuntia azurea - Cactus with flowers/fruits

Native to the Big Bend region of west Texas, opuntia azurea is an attractive plant with blue, reddish, or purplish-green stems bearing long red spines. Cactus flowers appear in early summer, producing large, yellow-red flowers, followed by red/purple fruits. The species is similar to opuntia macrocentra.
