Opuntia azurea is a species of cactus native to the arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, noted for its distinctive color – bluish-gray to silvery – and for its large, bright yellow flowers that appear during the warm season. It is a succulent plant with a flattened form, segmented into "cladodes" (pads) that form architectural clumps, highly valued in desert-inspired gardens or cactus collections.
