Vanda sanderiana var. alba

In its natural habitat, Vanda sanderiana grows on tree trunks at altitudes up to 500 meters above sea level, often near water, frequently hanging above the water and often fully exposed to the sun. It is a species of major importance in Vanda hybridization programs due to its impressive two-tone appearance and fragrant flowers. It is found in the Philippines, on the island of Mindanao, and is a large, monopodial plant with rapid growth in warm climate conditions.

It blooms more frequently in autumn on 1 or 2 solid, ascending axillary flower spikes up to 30 cm long, with 7 to 10 fragrant flowers that have a long lifespan.
