Philodendron McDowell is a spectacular hybrid from the Araceae family, appreciated by collectors for its huge, heart-shaped leaves with a velvety texture and prominent veins. It is the result of crossing Philodendron gloriosum and Philodendron pastazanum, retaining the impressive foliage and vigorous growth from both varieties, but with a more compact shape and a lush appearance.

The plant stands out with thick, slightly wavy leaves, pinkish petioles, and a strong contrast between the veins and the deep green tissue. In a bright interior, McDowell quickly becomes the focal point of the room, being an excellent choice for jungle-style corners, tropical collections, or modern spaces that need an exotic accent.

It is an ideal plant for philodendron enthusiasts, but also for beginners who can provide good light and proper watering. It grows slowly to moderately and prefers a very airy substrate, being a terrestrial plant with strong and extensive roots.
