Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana is a botanical species native to Manila, Philippines, notable for the distinctive colors of its waxy flowers, its tendency to produce keiki, and to bloom again from persistent stems, as well as for its delicate, sweet, and very strong fragrance.
This species shows a high tolerance to temperature, provided that an adequate level of humidity and proper ventilation are ensured. The optimal humidity for growing Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana is 80%, which can be reduced to 60-70% during winter, when watering should be done every 3–4 weeks (from mid-October to the end of February), supplemented by misting the leaves. However, complete drying of the substrate should not be allowed. During this period, when the plant’s growth will pause, the use of fertilizers is not recommended. In the warm season, watering is advised approximately every 7 days, keeping the substrate fairly moist (not wet). Fertilize every 1-2 weeks with a dose of 25-50% of the concentration recommended by the manufacturer. The species can be successfully grown in pots with a growing medium made of pine bark sized 12–16 mm, with repotting done only immediately after the flowering period.

Fragrant flowers: YES

Note: This variety often shows some coloration on the leaves. This is considered normal and does not affect the plant’s viability.
