Paphiopedilum Rosy Dawn (Venus's Slipper)

Non-primary hybrid, with both parents (Paphiopedilum ‘Astarte’ and Paphiopedilum ‘Gwen Hannen’) themselves non-primary hybrids, Paphiopedilum Rosy Dawn White stands out both through its delicate, pale colors that range from white to cream/vanilla or sometimes even pink, depending on the light intensity during the flowering period, and through its large flower size (similar to Maudiae (Black Jack, Femma)) relative to the height of the foliage. Like many Paphiopedilum hybrids, Rosy Dawn White can bloom both in summer and winter, sometimes even enjoying two blooming seasons, a feature that influences the flower colors, much to the delight of collectors.
