Hoya nicholsoniae - a species whose origin and identity have been long debated without a clear final conclusion. For a time, it was considered synonymous with Hoya pottsii, which itself was included in the Verticillata complex, but this plant differs from the Hoya pottsii we have had for several years and which blooms almost continuously in our greenhouse, at least in terms of leaf morphology.
It should be noted that many collectors, botanists, and even taxonomists consider the classification of many hoya species within the "Verticillata complex" to be exaggerated and meaningless, as the differences between the plants are very large and it seems nonsensical for them all to bear the same name, even if they share certain genetic elements.
It is said that there are several clones of H. pottsii in circulation, each showing some differences in foliage and flowers.
Hoya nicholsoniae has spectacular flowers in shades of intense yellow-straw yellow and cream, which last about a week and are fragrant (lemon/citrus).
The plant is not demanding at all and under normal growing conditions can bloom throughout the warm season. The flowers are sensitive to large temperature variations - it is best to avoid growing it in areas with drafts or frequent temperature changes.
Overwatering should be avoided, and fertilization should be done periodically with a weakly diluted orchid fertilizer.

Fragrant flowers: YES

The ceramic pot is not included in the price.
