Hoya australis 'Lisa' is a popular variegated cultivar valued for its multicolored foliage and intensely fragrant flowers. The thick, waxy leaves combine shades of green, cream, and yellow, while new growth may display pink, reddish, or purple tones. It is a decorative vine that can be trained on a support or allowed to grow trailing, and the variegation pattern naturally varies between leaves and plants.

Name and identification.

Accepted botanical name of the species. Hoya australis R.Br. ex J.Traill

Cultivar. 'Lisa', a name established and accepted in the horticultural register of Hoya cultivars

Horticultural identity. cultivar of Hoya australis subsp. tenuipes; 'Lisa' is a cultivar name, not a botanical synonym

Family. Apocynaceae

Growth habit. epiphytic, climbing, or trailing vine

The creator and exact place of origin of the selection are not documented. The cultivar was established in horticultural literature in 2007.

Variegated foliage. The leaves are oval, fleshy, and smooth, with complex patterns in dark green, light green, cream, and yellow. Young leaves frequently emerge in shades of pink, red, or purple, then gradually change color as they mature. The pattern, color proportions, and intensity of the shades may naturally vary from one leaf to another and from one plant to another.

Flowers and fragrance. At maturity, the plant may produce umbels of waxy white flowers with pinkish-red centers. The flowers of the 'Lisa' cultivar are known for their intense fragrance and are smaller than those of the typical subspecies Hoya australis subsp. australis. An inflorescence may last for approximately one week. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Plant presentation. Each pot contains 1–2 rooted cuttings at different stages of development. The appearance and distribution of the variegation naturally differ between plants.

The decorative pot is not included in the price.

Growing medium: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional growing medium for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.

Astept florile peste ceva timp.
