Dolichothele longimamma f. monstrueuse

Dolichothele longimamma f. monstruosa is a special form of the species Dolichothele longimamma, a cactus native to Mexico. This form is known for its unusual growth and decorative appearance.

It has a spherical or slightly cylindrical shape, with a diameter of about 10-15 cm. The surface of the plant is covered with nipple-shaped tubercles, each having an areole with 1-3 short and thin spines. The monstrous variety of this cactus may show abnormal growth, with strange and irregular shapes, giving it a unique look.

The flowers are large, yellow in color, appearing at the top, usually in the warm season. These are followed by red fruits.

Dolichothele longimamma f. monstruosa prefers well-drained soil, with a mix suitable for cacti. It likes direct sunlight but can also tolerate partial shade. It is drought-resistant but sensitive to excessive moisture and cold.
